LEGENDS FIGHT SERIES // FIGHT ANNOUNCEMENT
When Legends Fight Series kicks off its inaugural event LFS Friday Night Fights: The Rising at ForeFront Field on Friday, June 5, the card delivers a pro heavyweight scrap with finish written all over it:
Will “50 Cal” Baxter (0-2-0) of Akron, Ohio vs. Quentin “Crazy Eyes” Campbell (1-7-0) of Covington, Kentucky.
Two heavyweights. Two regional veterans. One opponent they’ve both already finished and they’ve never seen each other across a cage. Until now.

Why This Fight Lands
This is where Legends are made the slogan of Legends Fight Series. And this fight is a clean argument for why the regional pro circuit matters. Records don’t tell the full story for either of these guys. Both have title fights in their amateur past. Both have been on the wrong side of decisions that taught them more than the wins did. Both walk into the cage carrying the kind of one-shot heavyweight power that rewrites a card in a single exchange.
When Will Baxter took the BCM Promotions amateur heavyweight crown, he did it by beating Vester Harris at Fight Night 10 in 2022. When Quentin Campbell was climbing the amateur ranks, he stopped Vester Harris by TKO at B2 Fighting Series 142 in 2021. They’ve never crossed paths in a cage but one of them is getting the momentum back!
Now they walk through the same cage door, on the same night, in front of the same crowd.
Will “50 Cal” Baxter — Apex Out of Akron
Out of Akron, Ohio, Baxter trains under the moniker “50 Cal,” and the nickname is a promise. Four of his amateur wins came by knockout or TKO. At his peak as an amateur he was ranked the No. 3 heavyweight in the state of Ohio, riding a six-win run that culminated in winning the BCM heavyweight title from Vester Harris and then dropping to light heavyweight to chase a second belt.
He’s grinding through the pro climb now. The pro game is a different animal — sharper, longer, less forgiving — and Baxter’s pro record reflects what every heavyweight on the regional circuit knows: there is no easy night at 265. But the power that built his amateur run still walks into the cage with him on June 5. Akron sits about 45 minutes south of Avon. The drive is short. The chip on the shoulder is heavier.

Quentin “Crazy Eyes” Campbell — Covington’s Heavy
“Crazy Eyes” comes in from Covington, Kentucky straight across the river from Cincinnati and the nickname isn’t decoration. Campbell has been a fixture of the Midwest heavyweight scene for years, fighting through Ohio Combat League, Fury Fighting Championship, B2 Fighting Series, and New Line Cagefighting. He’s challenged for amateur belts in five-round main-event spots. He’s gone the distance with title-caliber competition. He’s been in there with everybody the Midwest can put in front of a heavyweight.
He brings the kind of cage hours you don’t fake. Every round he’s logged wins and losses both has been against fighters who made him answer for it. That’s the version of Campbell that walks into Avon on June 5th. He’s not the local boy in this one. He’s the road dog. And road dogs come to ForeFront Field with one job: take the night.

Hardrock Made the Match
LFS Matchmaker Brandon “Hardrock” Higdon 20 years deep in the game, the man who built fight cards for Hardrock MMA, B2 Fighting Series, and Ohio Combat League before bringing his book to Legends Fight Series sees this one clearly:
“Heavyweights are why fans show up early. Both of these guys can end a fight in one exchange, and both of them have been around the regional scene long enough to know exactly what’s at stake on a night like this. Will’s coming out of Akron with that 50 Cal nickname for a reason, he hits. Quentin’s bringing a chip on his shoulder up from Kentucky, and he’s been in there with everybody the Midwest has at heavyweight. They’ve never met. June 5th is the night that gets settled.”
