Legends Fight Series announces a partnership with the TPG Sports of the American 7s Football League (A7FL®), bringing Cincinnati’s Little Miami Phantoms and newly formed Kentucky Blitz into the LFS family starting Saturday, September 12 at MegaCorp Pavilion.
Cincinnati, OH — There’s a moment right before the lights come on at MegaCorp Pavilion when the whole room leans in. The walkout music hits, the cage catches the light, and for a second the river city and everything across it in Cincinnati feels like the center of the combat sports world. That’s the feeling Legends Fight Series was built on. And on Saturday, September 12, that feeling is about to get a whole lot bigger.
Legends Fight Series (LFS) a Midwest combat sports promotion born from the legacy of the Ohio Combat League today announced a partnership with TPG Sports, the ownership group behind two of the American 7s Football League’s newest Midwest franchises: the Little Miami Phantoms in the Cincinnati market and the brand-new Kentucky Blitz in Northern Kentucky.
It’s a partnership between two organizations that already share a map, a mindset, and a market. And it starts this weekend, live, under the lights of Megacorp Pavilion.
Who Is TPG Sports And Why This Fit Was Obvious
TPG Sports didn’t start in a boardroom. It started in 2023 with community events in Morrow and Maineville, built around a simple idea stitched into everything the group does: “Effort Over Excuses.” From organizing adult sports and supporting local families, small businesses, and nonprofits, TPG grew into a trusted athletic apparel and franchise operation. Most importantly, into owners who understand what it takes to build a team with integrity, discipline, and heart.
The A7FL is a semi-professional, full-contact 7-on-7 football league founded in 2014. Its games are famously played without hard shell pads or helmets. It is rapidly growing across the US and Canada, with franchise teams from New Jersey to Las Vegas.

Today, TPG Sports owns two A7FL franchises. The Little Miami Phantoms are coming home to the Cincinnati area for the 2027 A7FL season after a chapter competing as the Lexington Phantoms. And the Kentucky Blitz join the league as an expansion franchise for the A7FL’s landmark 13th season in 2027, carrying the torch for full-contact football in the Commonwealth.
“Owning the Little Miami Phantoms and now the Kentucky Blitz gives us a unique opportunity to help build the A7FL’s presence across the Midwest. We’re not looking at these as two teams competing for the same territory. We see them as complementary franchises that can help grow football throughout the region, create more opportunities for players, and build a stronger Midwest presence.”
— Anthony Tolliver, Owner, TPG Sports
That footprint, Cincinnati on one side of the Ohio River, Kentucky on the other, is the exact footprint LFS calls home. When two founder-led, community-rooted organizations are building in the same backyard, you don’t compete for the crowd. You bring it together.
Why the Partnership Makes Sense
If you’ve never seen the A7FL, picture backyard football elevated to the professional level: 7-on-7, full-contact tackle football, no helmets, no pads. Just speed, physicality, and toughness. It’s a game built for people who love the hit and respect the courage it takes to deliver one. The league’s viral highlights have racked up millions of views, even Snoop Dogg has shared A7FL clips, and its games now reach fans through DAZN, streaming, and a growing national media platform.
Sound familiar? It should. Because that’s the same DNA that runs through Legends Fight Series.
“When I watched the A7FL, I saw us. No helmets, no pads, no hiding just athletes laying it all on the line for the love of the sport and the fans who show up for them. That’s exactly what we do inside the cage. LFS and the A7FL are two founder-led organizations investing in the same communities, developing the same kind of fearless competitor, and giving Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky something to rally behind. Bringing these worlds together wasn’t a stretch. It was inevitable.”
— Aaron Boggs, CEO, Legends Fight Series
